HOMEWORK 3/4 CINQUAIN/HAIKU

Postby Nimue on Thu Mar 04, 2010 4:00 pm

Select the page of Staves, The 7 of Pentacles, the card you have been working with this session and the additional card that you drew for the three card reading with the Page of Staves and your card.
Create a haiku or a "cinquain" after mixing them together and drawing one randomly.

The Cinquain is a short poem, which is composed like this:

FIRST LINE: A NOUN

SECOND LINE: TWO ADJECTIVES DESCRIBING THE NOUN

THIRD LINE: THREE PRESENT PARTICIPLES ( ING VERBS)

FOURTH LINE: A FOUR WORS PHRASE OR SENTENCE

FIFTH LINE: ONE WORD THAT CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF THE ENTIRE POEM.

Celeste's Hanged man cinquain:

Mist
haze, confusion
mystifying, perplexing, seeking
lost in all the uncertainty
Expectations

Nimue, I am a bit confused- DO we use the Page, 7 of Pents and 2 other cards or is the 7 of Pents the card from the last session. I was absent, thus the confusion, I think. LOL TIA sufi

Sufi we did discuss the 7 of Pentacles in the last session and it will be one of the cards. the others for you would be your Wheel of Fortune, and the Page of Staves. Shuffle. pick, write either a haiku or a cinquain. :)

The card I've been working with this session is the Four of Cups. My third card for the three-card reading with the Page of Staves and Four of Cups was the Six of Pentacles. From those four cards (P of Staves, 7 of P, 6 of P, 4 of C), I randomly drew the Seven of Pentacles.

I decided to go with a haiku. Here it is:

Opposing forces
do not rend stars asunder;
they bridge the abyss.
