The first row dealt (the first 5 cards) represents the "who or what", the person or the situation the cards wish to deal with. You'll usually have a pretty good idea who or what is represented by those first 5 cards if you're reading for yourself. Generally, I've had this spread work equally as well in readings for others, but it is a different format... more free flowing than specified position meanings. Lay out the first five and decide before moving on, who or what they represent. Once you've determined that, lay out the second row of cards.

15 card

The second row (the next 5 cards) says what's going on with that person or situation. Think of this spread as 5 mini-spreads. I often find that the central issue or the crux of the matter is represented in card #8.

The third and final row is "what you need to know" about the situation or person represented in row one.

This is a little different reading style, but as I have become more comfortable with my cards, reading this way stretches me and allows intuition to come into play more easily. I recommend you try it, even as an experiment and see what happens. This spread works well in a medium like chat where you don't necessarily have to go over each card individually and can discuss back and forth with the querant. Frankly, it would take hours to pick apart this spread card by card. Look at it more as a whole entity... Pay attention to cards that are next to each other... how the court cards that come up are facing... where things fall in relation to what appears to be the "central issue".
